The Swearing in of the 24th Executive Council and the Farewell Ceremony of the 23rd Executive Council of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh was held in a scaled-down program at the Multi-purpose Hall of IAB Centre on 16 January 2021 (Saturday).
Mr. Atiqul Islam, Honorable Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and recited the oath swears to the 24th Executive Council.
The one-hour-long event started with the national anthem followed by the welcome speech by Ar. Mubasshar Hussain, President of 24th EC, and ended with the Vote of Thanks from Ar. Farhana Sharmin Emu, General Secretary of 24th EC.
The function was also addressed by the Chief Election Commissioner, Ar. Mustafa Ameen and President, 23rd EC, Ar. Jalal Ahmed.
The Honorable Mayor conveyed his commitment to work in close association with IAB towards his goal of making a modern, beautiful and livable Dhaka while delivering his speech.
IAB eagerly looks forward to arrange a regular scale installation ceremony with the presence of all members as soon as the situation improves.
