TWO BANGLADESHI PROJECTS URBAN RIVER SPACES, Jhenaidah and COMMUNITY SPACES IN ROHINGYA REFUGEE RESPONSE, Teknaf WIN THE PRESTIGIOUS AGA KHAN AWARD FOR ARCHITECTURE 2022
The winners of the 2022 Aga Khan Award for Architecture were announced yesterday, 22 September 2022. Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) is pleased to announce that two Bangladeshi projects along with four other projects have announced as the winners of this cycle. The project Urban River Spaces at Jhenaidah designed by the architects Khondaker Hasibul Kabir & Suhailey Farzana and the project Community Spaces in Rohingya Refugee Response at Teknaf designed by the architects Rizvi Hassan, Khwaja Fatmi & Saad Ben Mostafa have awarded the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2022.
Aga Award for Architecture is considered as one of the most prestigious awards in the world. This is the 15th cycle of the award since 1978. Till now, 3 bangladeshi architects and 6 building projects from Bangladesh have won this prestigious award.
The Institute of Architects Bangladesh again congratulates all the architects and team members of Aga Khan winners and hopes this success of Bangladeshi architects will continue in the future.
