A delegation from IAB led by its President Ar. Jalal Ahmed had a meeting with Director General, Central Procurement Technical Unit, IMED, Ministry of Planning on 08.01.19 to discuss IAB proposals on the Design Contest Method of Public Procurement Rules.
The IAB team also communicated its views on other related issues like Consultant's fee, VAT & Tax at Source, grading system of QCBS method etc.
The CPTU team included its Advisor, Directors and Deputy Directors. IAB delegation included Ar. Mamnoon Murshed Chowdhury, Vice President National Affairs, Ar. Nowajish Mahbub, General Secretary, Ar. Bayezid Mahbub Khondker, Secretary Professional Affairs, Ar. Dewan Shamsul Arif, ex Secretary Professional Affairs and Ar. Rashidul Hassan.
Ar. Ali Ashraf Dewan, Asst. Chief Architect, attended on behalf of Dept. of Architecture, Ministry of Housing & Public Works.
The two sides decided to have more meetings on the issues in the coming months.
