Institute of Architects Bangladesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Build Bangladesh on 24 April 2019 to organize an open architectural design competition for Affordable Housing for Lower Middle Income Group. Ar. Jalal Ahmed, President, IAB and Ar-Planner Farhadur Reza Probal, President, Build Bangladesh signed on behalf of their organisations.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ar. Mubasshar Hussain, Past President, IAB, Arastoo Khan, Chairperson, Advisory Board, Meer Sajed-ul-Basher FCA, Vice President of Build Bangladesh. IAB Vice Presidents Ar. Mamnoon Murshed Chowdhury and Ar. Ehsan Khan, General Secretary Ar. Nowajish Mahbub, Treasurer Ar. Masud Ur Rashid, Secretary Professional Affairs Ar. Bayejid Mahbub Khondker and Ar. Muhtadin Iqbal were also present.
